Dr. Dayan believes that the ideal time to begin teen treatment is when the final baby teeth start to wiggle.

The last baby teeth to fall out are larger than the adult teeth that will replace them, allowing Dr. Dayan to use that extra space in the "changing of the guard" to align the teeth as perfectly as possible. This process usually starts around age 11 but can vary from child to child.
